Nicole Wild
Hey all! I’m Nicole - founder and creator of this ever-growing and shifting and expanding community. I pinch myself often, in awe of just how lucky I feel to be doing this with you all. When I look back over the timeline of events that brought this collective to life, it is easy to connect the dots in reverse - but it didn’t always feel so clear during those moments looking forward. I’m grateful for the journey of it all and am proud of what we are creating and all that is still to come!
I was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana. My family still lives in the home I grew up in, and though I’ve recently relocated to Seattle, Washington, Montana is a place I appreciate more and more all the time. I grew up spending summers on the lake, becoming obsessed with travel through my family’s annual vacations to the beach, and watching my parents each build their own businesses. I took my first yoga class at 17 years old while seeking tools to support my physical and mental health, alongside a transformative therapy journey.
I received my degree in Fine Art Film + Photography from Montana State University, and built a wedding photography business that kept me busy full-time for several years. I got certified to teach yoga in 2015 during a summer break in college, and began teaching yoga in studios around the Bozeman community right away. Though I loved photography, anyone who knew me could see the deep passion I held in sharing the yoga practice. I continued to teach anywhere from 10 to 20 yoga classes per week for several years while also growing my photography business.
On March 16, 2020 at the start of lockdowns during the pandemic, I uploaded my first online yoga class to YouTube. This was a catalyst in the growth of an online community of people who were interested in practicing with me. While a whole season of weddings got cancelled, downsized or rescheduled in my photography business, I had new time + space to pour my heart into offering yoga in a new way. The Kula’s online membership site launched in April of 2021, and we expanded to in-person retreats and trainings in 2022. I have such big vision for the growth of our in-person and online offerings and am so excited for all that is to come.”
Silvana Vanfretti
Hola! Ciao! My name is Silvana Vanfretti, but my friends call me Silvana la Vegana. I am a half Guatemalan and half Italian, currently living and teaching yoga in the enchanting colonial town of Antigua Guatemala.
I like to consider myself a multi-passionate individual with a deep love for yoga. My journey as both an eternal student and a facilitator is backed by 200ERYT certification in Progressive Vinyasa, as well as certifications + continuing education in Meditation, Facial Yoga, Philosophy and Anatomy(soon). I am also a creative soul, passionate about outdoor adventures and the art of crafting nourishing vegan food. Living a yoga-inspired life, my focus is on expanding the mind, nurturing the body, elevating the soul, and cultivating self-confidence. I am dedicated to motivating practitioners to reconnect with their inner teacher, while exploring the transformative magic of yoga, meditation, pranayama, and conscious movement.
In addition to my role as a yoga teacher, I am currently serving as the Kula Coordinator. In this position, I assist in-person offerings for The Collective School of Yoga, which includes Yoga Teacher Trainings and Kula Retreats. Furthermore, I am actively involved in working alongside Nicole to expand + grow The Kula online yoga studio platform.
I am thrilled to be a part of this journey, and I look forward to crossing paths with you on the mat or through our shared yoga experiences.
Devin Archilla
A lifelong adventurer, I have hopped around the globe + coast to coast growing up. I found myself moving to the rugged mountains of Montana for college + have yet to leave. I graduated with highest honors in Graphic Design and Small Business Entrepreneurship from Montana State University in 2014.
I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. I have always had a love for movement and a passion for being involved in the fitness industry. I feel most alive when pushing myself physically + being humbled by the mountains. Such as completing the RUT 28k - a grueling + invigorating mountain race in Big Sky, Montana (be sure to check that out!!)
Most often you can find me in the mountains hitting the trails with my foxy husband Mark and our two wild pups, Thor + Santiago.I am a professional photographer based in Bozeman, Montana specializing in reflecting the power + beauty of women through boudoir photography, brand photography + retreat photography.
My style of photography is to hold space for women + reflect their power back to them. I’m inspired by the way women can access a power that comes from a deep confidence + knowing in one’s value. The purpose of my work is for each woman to see herself in a transformative way. You can learn more at devinhelenboudoir.com or hittin' me up on the 'gram @devinhelenboudoir.What brings together my passion for photography + fitness? For people to believe in the resilience they already have + realize the strength they are capable of. It’s an honor and incredible to witness the transformation.
Kaylee Litle
Hey there! I'm Kaylee– Graphic & Web Designer.
I'm a Montana Native living in Jackson Hole, WY where the Teton Mountains (and the Adobe Creative Suite) are my playground.
Movement & creativity have been the constants in my life so far. From my passion for travel to mountain biking, trail running and yoga, movement is one of the most meaningful forms of expression. Design being my second passion– most of my creative work revolves around the wellness, outdoor & travel industries. I hope to bring a fresh and personal perspective to brands who have aligned values through my work as a graphic & web designer, creative director and producer.
From a young age, I liked to experiment. I was always asking "why?", stirring up backyard concoctions, making new friends camping and day dreaming out what was "out there". That adventurous, hungry and curious spirit has been a driving force in who I've become, and discovering the yoga practice has given me a new creative space to express, ask questions of myself and discover a new perspective.
The merging of these passions are what brought me to The Kula, where I get to experience creativity, movement and community through the lens of yoga, meditation and travel. I couldn't be more excited about my role here and to connect with you all.
